John Rogers is a fourth year Ph.D. student at the Georgia Tech Robotics and Intelligent Machines center. His research is in robot Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) : sub-mapping techniques for large scale visual SLAM, SLAM with higher level semantic reasoning, object recognition, and handling moving objects in SLAM. John holds an MS degree from Stanford in Computer Science and MS and BS degrees from Carnegie Mellon in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
